When moving animals in and out of the state of Pennsylvania there are certain health rules and regulations that owners and veterinarians must follow. In addition to following these rules and regulations for Pennsylvania, we encourage you to research the health rules and regulations of the state, country, or exhibition that you plan to attend/visit as they may have additional or different requirements.

***Important Information for Swine Exhibitors***
Effective January 1, 2020 the PA Department of Agriculture has issued the following requirements for all swine exhibitions within the sate of Pennsylvania:
- Accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued not more than 14 days prior to the exhibition
- Permanently identified by an 840 series RFID tag and that tag number recorded on the CVI
- Has been visually inspected for signs of disease prior to unloading at the exhibition by an accredited veterinarian or a Swine Health Monitor appointed by the fair board or livestock show committee.
- The Swine Health Monitor shall immediately report any clinical signs of disease to the veterinarian holding the veterinarian client patient relationship with the fair board or livestock show committee. The veterinarian shall immediately follow up by examining the animal and notify the SAHO when appropriate.
- Any swine showing signs of illness upon arrival shall not be permitted to unload and must be reported to the accredited veterinarian holding the veterinarian-clientpatient-relationship with the show or fair board.
