Vaccine Protocols

Beef

We recommend annual vaccination of beef cattle. Fully-vaccinating calves at least 2 weeks prior to weaning will reduce severity of stress associated respiratory disease during weaning.

Dairy

The vaccination of calves is the most crucial. Adult animals should be vaccinated every 6 months with at least a respiratory vaccine.  Do not give modified live vaccines to bred animals or less than 30 days prior to breeding.

Pregnant Mares & Foals
Mares previously vaccinated booster 4-6 weeks before foaling

​Un-vaccinated mares immediately vaccinate with a 2 dose series 4-6 weeks between doses then booster 4-6 weeks prior to foaling

Foals of mares vaccinated during pregnancy begin a 3 dose series starting at 4 months of age, booster 4-6 weeks between first two shots, then give third shot at 10-12 months of age

Foals of un-vaccinated mares begin a 3 dose series starting at 4 months of age, 4 weeks between the first 2 shots and the third shot given 8 weeks later.

Core Vaccine
We recommend vaccinating all pigs with RespiSure-One every 6 months
Gilts & Boars
We recommend vaccinating every 6 months with Farrow Sure Gold B
Sows
We recommend vaccinating 2-4 weeks prior to breeding with Farrow Sure Gold B

Additional Vaccines
We also recommend these additional vaccines if there is a risk of exposure
Caseous Lymphadenitis

Lambs & Kids
Vaccinate with CD&T at 8 weeks of age with a booster dose 4 weeks later. 

Vaccinate for pasteurella at 8-12 weeks of age with a booster at 12-16 weeks of age. 

Ewes, Rams, Does and Bucks
If un-vaccinated immediately vaccinate with CD&T with a booster dose 4 weeks later. 

If previously vaccinated booster annually with one dose of CD&T.

Breeding Stock should vaccinate against Chlamydia and Campylobacter in addition to annual booster of CD&T.
